The narrow pestle eliminates the problem of sample overflow common with other tissue grinders. The molded-in abrasive surface does not leave any sediment to obstruct the sample during examination. Tissue grinders come fully assembled and gamma sterilized in an easy- to-open package. An extra cap and patient identification label are provided for storage, transport and traceability.

Tissue Grinder Complete, 85mL, SST. Stainless Steel Tissue Grinder Cell Dissociation Sieves designed to make single cell suspensions from tissue pieces. The process is similar to using a mortar & pestle to reduce a solid sample to a powder. The 85mL sizes have also been used to fragment polyacrylamide gels to recover antibodies. The screens are held in place by a retaining ring that is tightened using the screen replacement key. The screens are Stainless Steel with different mesh sizes and have a diameter of 37mm. The complete item consists of: pan, glass pestle, key & nine screens (one each) 10 to 150 mesh sizes. Additional screens can be purchased separately.
